Issue #1
======
Problem Description
-------------------------
Scom report 10720 every minute
Resolutions
---------------
This is caused by the script querying for a machines DNS name from the
MT_Computer Table and this is not populated correctly.
Please follow the steps to start monitoring the Exchange cluster in OpsMgr
2007:
To get a list of machines that are missing the DNSName Attribute in SQL
Query Analyzer run:
select NetbiosComputerName,DNSName from OperationsManager.dbo.MT_Computer
where DNSName is NULL
Find the exchange cluster name & confirm the DNS value is NULL.
Then run the following SQL query to update the values of the DNSName of the
cluster based on the NetBIOS Cluster Name, Change the values below to match
you network names:
update OperationsManager.dbo.MT_Computer set DNSName = '<MyClusterDNSName>'
where NetbiosComputerName='<MyClusterNetBiosName>'
After doing this stop the OpsMgr Health Service agent on the affected
machines go to %program Files%\System Center Operations Manager 2007\Health
service State\Health service store\delete all the cache files & start the
service.
After about an hour these symptoms should clear up.

Resolution
--------------
1. We reinstalled WUA 3.0 with option /WUFORCE
2. We re-registered all the Windows Update related dll files.
3. We cleared the WUA Client cache files, including SoftwareDistribution
folder and BITS queue.
Issue #3
======
Problem Description
--------------------------
The upstream disk is full and it downloaded unnecessary language updates.
Cause:
-----------
downstream servers where requesting content in the additional languages and
your upstream server had to get that content in order to deliver it to your
downstream servers.
Resolution
-------------
Allocate the mis-configured DSS server and remove the request for
downloading additional language. Then use server cleanup wizard and
wsusdebug tool to remove unneed content on the USS to release more disk.
Issue #4
=======
Problem Description
-------------------------
update failed to be installed with error code 0x8007f004
Cause
--------
>From the winodwsupdate.log file, there are following error reported:
0x8007F004 STATUS_INSUFFICIENT_PRIVS
0x80240022 WU_E_ALL_UPDATES_FAILED
The 0x80240022 stated the failed installation, and the 0x8007F004 told us
the problem. This is a permission related problem. That is the reason we
configured some security settings on client computer.
Resolution
-------------
We followed the following steps to grant users with enough permission and
then the issue is fixed.
1. Edited the Local Group Policy by clicking Start -> Run, click GPEDIT.MSC
and click OK.
Go to Computer Configuration-Windows Settings-Security Settings-Local
policies-User rights assignment Added the Domain Administrator,
Administrator Accounts to the following:
--Restore files and directory
--Manage auditing & security log
--Backup files and directories
--Take ownership of files and folders
2. Restarted the server.
3. Checked for the updates and the updates are getting installed.
