ForensiT User Profile Wizard will migrate your current user profile to your new domain account so that you can keep all your existing data and settings.

Will also support domain to domain

In our company (IT Managed Services), we use this tool on a quasi-daily basis. It works great. One caveat though - you still need to manually migrate certificates stored in the users' My Documents subfolders.

Hey, nice tool!

The cost is reasonable too.

I've done this in the past by getting the new domain account logged on to the PC, matching the old domain SID with the entries under the ProfileList key, then updating the ProfileImagePath of the new account with the old account's value, using cacls/xcacls to add the new domain account to the existing profile, then using reg/regini to load the user hive and add the new domain account to the user hive security. Seems to work a treat.

USMT/ADMT also offer up similar functionality, but take a bit of effort to understand. Well worth it though if you're performing migrations regularly.
