Having your cake and eating it too with the Windows "Stuff" Server
The question was first raised on the forums:

And Kevin Beares goes into more in detail here...
The SBS, Centro and Windows Home Server Community Lead Blog : The BIG Question at SMB Nation 2007. "Microsoft, can I run Windows Home Server on my SBS Network?":

Here in a graphical manner is what you can and cannot do:
1. You cannot join a Home server to an active directory domain

But given that you can make the workgroup name "match" the netbios name of the server/domain... not a problem and it sets in place the pass-thru authentication needed.
2. You have to match the usernames set up on the SBS server to usernames/passwords on the "Stuff" server
You use the /connectcomputer wizard on the SBS box just like you would normally do. The SBS box is the DHCP hander-outer. The "Stuff" server picks up it's DHCP routing "from" the SBS box.
Now for the magic part....
3. While the workstation is ON the domain, run the install program to let it see the "Stuff" server
See the PFM going on... it's ON the domain, yet it SEEs the "Stuff" server and is able to be backed up by it. When you are setting up the domain joined PC do not let the Home server take over remote connectivity duties (it too has Remote Web Workplace like SBS under the hood).
4. You can now use the "Stuff" server backup to backup the workstations
DO NOT use the "Stuff" server to backup the domain controller.... this truly is not supported and is only for those SBS mvps who are insane enough to prove a point (and become a Windows Home Server MVP in the process)
5. You can now use the "Stuff" server folders to store your stuff
Rather than putting all that crud on the desktops, it can now be stored AND shared.
P.S. Yes, I'm fully aware that I am over using the word "stuff"...someone suggested the "Side" server... I think I'll bug a suggestion to change the name in connect
