Google isn't the best teacher

Thanks to Greg ...the blog email is now fixed. There was a table/database corruption issue that he fixed.
But it points out the "Google" factor is a risk. Because I googled my way into a situation where I didn't know what
I was doing and faced doing damage.
He told me "don't ever run that DBCC CHECKDB command", "seriously it can wipe out big chunks of your DB
if you don't do some checking beforehand
".
"I
t's ok to run without the REPAIR WITH DATA LOSS but never run
it with that option on. It's possible to lose an entire table
"
And sometimes we do that too much. Google too much, don't ask for guidance, help or the best yet, look for
training and resources on the topic you are running into. Don't be afraid to ask for help but better yet, don't be
afraid to learn.
Just remember.. sometimes Google isn't the best teacher if you don't know what you are doing.

And kudos to Greg who fixed the problem.
