Office 2007 here we come
Thanks to Patrick ... after a smidge of customization I'm able to give the green light to Office 2007 deployment.

His latest ribbon customizer has given me the exact thing that's been keeping my deployment back.
The drop down menu. The custom toolbar menu in Office 2003 we've had for 10 years.
Literally 10 years ago we had Office secretary that was overqualified for the job. Tina McClure. And when she was slow one summer, 10 years ago, she built a set of customized drop down menus that really made for a ton of efficiency in our office. And I knew that I could not give the green light to Office 2007 deployment until I recreated that drop down menu system.
All the macro does is do a file open to the file share, and open up the file. An easy stupid macro. But it means on those documents we use over and over again, we're not searching all over the file system. All the documents are just a few mouse clicks away.
But in the conversion from 2003 to 2007, that drop down wouldn't work in a direct conversion. So I had to figure out how to get them converted. And I searched around and couldn't quite find the solution. Until Patrick's Ribbon bar customization tool.
I go in and build a custom group, adding a new menu system and I add the macros. I copied the macros from the visual basic from an old computer and just plopped it down in the new Office. From there I just copy the macro name into the macro section on the ribbon customization tool and voila... I now have a drop down menu.

Kewl a mundo! Office 2007 here we come!
