Lifestyles of the rich and famous and SMB ITPros
So for those of you down in Orlando at TechEd... or in the case of Vlad who walked across the street... one of the things you need to do as a SMB consultant at TechEd is get your feathers out and look for fellow birds. Mainly because the track content ... with a few exceptions... isn't exactly geared towards the SMB marketspace. That's not to say that you can't make great connections from the event, you just need to find your fellow birds.
So when Vlad talks about his "Birds of a Feather" event, that's one as a SMB consultant you'll want to go to. http://www.vladville.com/2007/06/bof03-life-and-times-of-smb-itpro-consultants.html It just sounds like he should have the music of "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and ITPros" playing in the background or something :-)

Is the lifestyle of SMBItPros one of Champagne wishes and caviar dreams? While you can order the DVD set, things like the "stuff in the hallways" just aren't captured on the DVD. Vlad's Lifestyles of the SMBITpro for example won't be on that dvd. So that's why sometimes, even in a conference that doesn't seem too SMBIT focused, you can still pick out content and meet with people that are like you.
Some other resources are the Virtual Tech Ed http://www.virtualteched.com/Pages/default.aspx
Some of the more SMB tracks include:

And how did Vlad end up with TechEd being in Orlando again next year?
...now if I can just work on his accent so it sounds more like Susanne's we'll be in business...
