Back to RDPing to my server
That is why I couldn't RDP to my server:
That driver right there... when you went device manager, clicked on show hidden devices and it initially was with a "!" next to it saying the driver wasn't working. With some command line stuff that I wouldn't be able to do, the PSS gang put the driver back in and all was well. A similiar post I found in the newsgroups about it here. Not for the faint hearted or command line challenged for sure.
Bottom line that one little bit was a bit mangled and it caused RDP to the server not to play nice. We're back in operational order now with SP2 finally on the box for good.
