WSS 3.0 and Search
While Chad lives on the bleeding edge in Sharepoint....for those that want to stay in supported range and "Side by Side" WSS 3.0 with Companyweb territory... know this
1. WSS 3.0 side by side on a SBS Standard - where Companyweb is on msde and WSS 3.0 is on SQL 2005 express the search works
2. WSS 3.0 side by side on a SBS Premium R2 with SQL 2005, where Companyweb is on SQL 2005 premium and WSS 3.0 is on SQL 2005 express the search works
...it's the WSS 3.0 side by side on a SBS Premium Sp1 with SQL 2000 where Companyweb is on SQL 2000 and WSS 3.0 is trying to be on that SQL 2005 express that gets messed up.
