Yeah yeah not another DST post... I know...
I got an email in my alternative address that hardly ever gets spammed by Microsoft.... that kinda tells me that they are sending smoke signals out on this issue to the far corners on this one ....
Now some folks I've talked to are just doing a "don't bother me" about this issue... but I'm not convinced that Outlook 2003 is not going to freak out over this. Outlook 2007 (which sorry .. not deploying yet) has a time zone fix built in, but 2003 doesn't.
We may be all wise to move to England to GMT time zone and be done with this.
The sharepoint patch that came down on WSUS last night will 'drop' your RWW connection during patching but did not appear to need a reboot (didn't kick one on my server anyway)
....now if I could just figure out what that Outlook tool does...

This year Daylight Saving Time (DST) extends by approximately four weeks. In compliance with this provision in the Energy Policy Act of 2005, DST dates in the United States and Canada will start three weeks earlier (2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in March) and will end one week later (2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November).
In some instances, effort will be required to accommodate the new DST legislation. For example, systems and applications may need to be updated directly, while in other circumstances the application may inherit the date and time information from the underlying system.

Microsoft is producing updates for Windows products as well as other Microsoft products affected by the new U.S. statute.
