The tag lines you read on IM...
When Windows Live started the ability to have a tag line that doesn't interfere with IM conversations all bets were off... and the tag lines frenzy started... mine right now on this computer is about how I'm not used to Grey's anatomy on Thursday nights, the home computer tag line talks about how I need to buy Halloween candy and if I don't I may be handing out copies of Windows XP sp2.
So in scanning my IM tag views... some folks talk about Chocolate and Beer... some about Curling season (you know that round thing you slide across the ice and use brooms on ... you've seen it in the Olympics....some rant at folks to use the SBS wizards....
When I'm at a conference and there will be a group of people I'm meeting, we will stick the Hotel Room number up on that tag line... yeah.. .sounds really safe doesn't it? But it's the way we show others at the conference where we are at so we can meet up with them later. Sort of an IM version of "linked in". Speaking of "Linked in" I'm still trying to see what Linked in is about... the other day I got a Linked in from someone I have on email and IM... and it's like... okay...um.... we're linked in already right? But once I approved it I could see the visual "networking" that was going on. He had linked to other people, some that I knew and some that I didn't know.... kinda interesting actually.
Sometimes reading cryptic tag lines can lead to wrong ideas as well..... Okay so the other day someone I have on my IM list... someone I'll call ... oh let's call him "Dean" shall we?... Well this so called "Dean" had a cryptic tag line on IM ..something about "RTM"ing. And sometimes folks who are in positions of authority in places just shouldn't put phrases like that on their IM tag... 'cause I think he was talking about the finalization of this site... but the funny thing is for a day some of us were wondering exactly what RTM'd... we knew it wasn't SBS Longhorn yet or anything.... so I think it was instead the launch of his wife's music site instead. But for about a day some of us back here were trying to figure out what the cryptic "It RTMd" meant and exactly WHAT RTMd. She's a very talented artist which goes to show you that there's a better half there in that relationship, don't you think? ;-)
(just kidding.. just kidding) Seriously kudos to Aileen Paron for a cool place to showcase your talents! And a nice RTM... assuming that is what the tag line was about :-)
