Seeing Buffer Overrun and IIS needing reset in CRM? Get these two hotfixes (for free)
KB 915343 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/915343 ): Error message when you use Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0: "Buffer overrun detected!"
From the KB for 915343 -- "Microsoft has conducted an investigation into the cause of this error, and we can confirm that this overrun is not exploitable. Therefore, this error does not expose any security vulnerability"
KB 921065 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/921065 ): Internet Information Services stops responding on a Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 server
If you're seeing the "Buffer Overrun" error or multiple IIS resets, you should be running both of these fixes, which are available via product support. If, with both fixes in place, you're still seeing either the BO or unexplained IISRESETS, please contact Product Support so they can investigate your issue.
All released CRM server hotfixes (to date, anyway) apply to both standalone and SBS server configurations.
