SysAdmins Cringe and MCSEs cry. None of us knows all the answers.

We were all "Newbies" once and none of us has experience with every
permutation, combination, setup and environment SBS is deployed in,
so there are -no- stupid or dumb questions. That's the domain of
answers that imply that there are.

If you're asking a question and know the answer to another one on the
page, muck in and post it. The poster may get a faster resolution than they
would have, and an additional member may get a response
they wouldn't have otherwise

Your solution may be a something that we can all learn from.

I am having problems getting my VPN installed on my SBS 2003 prem server. I start by running the "configure remote access" and get the following error when running the setup. the following is the output from rraslog.txt

Updating CMP template returned OK
Updating CMS template returned OK
Updating SED template returned OK
Creating proxy configuration file returned OK
Running IExpress to build the package returned OK
Specifying error location (in CMAK) returned OK
*** CRRASCommit::CommitCMAK returned ERROR 80004005
*** CRRASCommit::CommitEx returned ERROR 80004005

Then I go to correct this by doing the following

Open Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs.
Click "Windows Small Business Server 2003" and click on "Change/Remove"
Follow the setup prompts until you reach the "Component Selection" dialog
screen.
On the "Server Tools" action, change it to "Maintenance"
Then, for the "Client Deployment" action, change it to "Reinstall"
Complete the setup wizard - you may be prompted for one of the SBS CD's or
the DVD.

It never gets through the setup of the client errors and I get the following output
