This update didn't work for me either. I am running Vista Ultimate x64 and can not connet to any web folders.

Hi John,

That's strange as it certainly fixed the problems I was having. I would suggest trying to apply the patch again, definetly reboot afterwards, and then check to see you have fiel sharing allowed on your network connection and firewall etc.

Didn't work for me. I installed the update, rebooted the Vista computer.

I have tried connecting using the following

http://fqdn/folder

http://fqdn:80/folder

https://fqdn/folder

https://fqdn:443/folder.

Each time the authentication popup appears, and I enter in user/password, and then after OK. I get the error:

"The folder you entered does not appear to be valid...."

I have tried this on a brand new install of Vista Business, with and without the update, and still doesn't work.

Works fine with my old XP client, and with the Mac, using MacOSX.

I have googled for this problem, and I am amazed at how few people are reporting this problem.
