&lt;p&gt;I have worked predominantly in VB4/5/6 and now VB.NET. Now that my employer works primarily in C# I see two things:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;a) They are 98% the same.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;b) With regards to the 2% difference, I tend to prefer the VB.NET way (not all the times, but usually).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I applaud your bringing to our attention MS' (sometimes) poor attitude to such a great programming language.&lt;/p&gt;
