That a 7 year old can build an app in VB is a good thing ! When you become a *real* developer you might understand that.

Yeh the "lead" for the "community" around Health Fault is of course an ex C# guy who seemed to see VB as the competition . Sad to see that impact on their customers. What's the bets Google doesn't make the same mistake ;)

Currently, all of our samples are available only in C#.

The graph is actually kind of useless when it comes to comparing languages due to the poor methodology. What it is useful for is looking at trends: as in if any language is on the up or decline.

The reason it's flawed is they search for various keywords for some languages, like you obviously need to for VB, Visual Basic etc. They then take the highest out of them, *NOT* the sum. Neither is correct of coure, they really need to take the mutual exclusive sum.

And, on a quick google search, there clearly are terms for some languages that they aren't using, that provide higher hits than the ones they are using. So language like Java, where there's little use of other phrases, and even J2EE pages typically include the term Java, appear vastly more popular to other languages.

So it really is more "what's in a name ?" ;)

re: VB on the up !

Obviously there's a lot of people out there who's only capable of reading psuedo code :p

I think RunAsRadio or was it DNR that had a show not too long ago about VB and the uptake..

it would however be better to see which of the languages are .Net based? and i cannot believe that PHP and Perl is rated in the same class as the other ones..they're scripting languages...like jscript and vbscript :) oh, and i hate those too...

i'm sure you expected me to troll in here sooner or later Bill :)
