Baraka

Last night I stumbled onto this movie.. Baraka.  It's an oldie, made in 1992, but didn't seem dated at all.  It's the kind of thing you really need to put time aside for, and let yourself be absorbed into the visual images.. if you do, you'll find it incredibly moving.

 

I thought it brilliant cinematography, and I loved the content.  I'd rate this as a "classic" must see. Original, moving, thought provoking...

I haven't seen this yet, but you should also check out:
Koyaanisqatsi, Powaqqatsi and Naqoyqatsi. You may like them. They're quite good.

Thanks Jacob. I'm not sure about Naqoyqatsi, that sounds a bit too depressing, but the others sound interesting, especially Koyaanisqatsi. The later sounds a lot like Baraka. The thing I liked about Baraka is it "balanced" the content which really leaves it up to the viewer how to interpret rather than leading them down one particular view of ilfe
