Telerik radEditor 2.0.2 & IT Hit Web Author Enhancement

This is a bit of a FYI incase anyone is having any issues with the Telerik radEditor 2.0.2 and the IT Hit Web Author Enhancement.

I ran into quite a few issues with the Internal Anchor enhancement.

I ended up having to go back to the ‘old’/out of the box Internal Anchor dialog that ships with MCMS Sp1a

Hey Angus,

What problems did you have with the Telerik control and the IT Hit Web Author Enhancement?

When I was mapping host headers to channels eg.
/channels/www.data3.com.au/About Data3/

I was getting
/www.data3.com.au/ returned and therefore all the links were being broken.

I also had the CSS playing up on the 'View/Save/Cancel' buttons on the IT hit internal anchor dialog.

I suspect it may have been the radEditor v2 that caused the issues (it isn't listed as a supported version for the IT Hit WAE)

Have you had them running together?

Ahh, crap. Well, we are using mapped host headers and V1.5 of the Telerik control now. We're looking into upgrading to the V2.x control, but are waiting on a few enhancements from Telerik (like the ability to insert local attachments).

We were also hoping to replace the Move/Copy dialogs with something else, like the IT Hit WAE.

So, no, we aren't running those items together yet but we've been considering it.

Thanks for the info! Merry Xmas!

It may have been my implementation that is queer.

I was going to open a support job with Telerik but then tried to remove the IT Hit (just for the internal anchors, so its still there for the Web Author Console) and it works great now.

So in my setup I have:
MCMS SP1a
IT Hit WAE
Telerik radEditor 2.0.2

I then replaced the Internallinks dialog directory with the origional (post installation) directory and it works a treat.

Maybe IT Hit can easily revisit the code...

Hi Angus and Joel!

Thank you for your comments. We are developing a new version of WAE with many new features. Most bugs will be fixed in WAE 2.0 Beta 1 and it will support Telerik v2.0. Please read about it at http://mcms.ithit.com/next_gen_wae. It is most likely that it will be a commercial product. If you have any ideas about features you want to have in WAE or how to improve it please write to info@ithit.com. Your comments are very important for us.

I was wondering if anyone had found the source of the problem you are describing. I have a similar situation with one of my clients. The odd thing is that I am able to get it working with host headers on my local machine, but it fails on the UAT machine and the production machine.
