MCMS Standard Edition - Cannot add AD group to a subscriber role - Licensing Violation

I came across this problem a while ago and Microsoft wrote a fix for me & my client - but I don't think there is a KB or HotFix yet...

Problem
When adding an AD group to a Subscriber Rights Group you receive the following error: "The operation could not be completed because it would put the server in violation of the standard edition license restrictions"

Resolution
Contact Microsoft Support and request hotfix ID 883638

The hotfix exists but the article is not yet on support.microsoft.com : when it goes live view it at http://support.microsoft.com/?id=883638
