How to enable the POP3 service in Exchange Server

Overview
The Exchange Server has the POP3 service disabled by default.

Solution
  1. Click Start, then click Run
  2. Type services.msc
  3. Find the service Microsoft Exchange POP3 that default value is disable
  4. Change Startup type to Automatic

  1. Open the Exchange System Manager
  2. Expand the Administrative Groups
  3. Expand the First Administrative Group (or existent group)
  4. Expand the Servers
  5. Expand a <server>
  6. Expand the Protocols
  7. Expand the POP3
  8. Right-click Default POP3 Virtual Server and then click Start

Conclusion
Now, we can work with POP3 in Exchange Server.
