Hey Brian! Thnx for a great blog! I was wondering, is there a way to install the Certificate Services feature to a Server Core installation?

thnx again,

Hi Scott,

Server Core will not allow Certificate Services.  Take a look here to learn a little more about what can run on Server Core and how to configure your server - www.adminprep.com/.../default.asp

Hi,

Is there a way to create a shortcut to the task scheduler of a remote computer ?

I did it for the computer management with : compmgmt.msc /computer:zc114 !

But /computer failed with taskschd.msc !!!

Thank you for your help.

Ludovic.

Hi Ludovic,

I just tried this on a regular Server 2008 install and it worked well.  I don't have a Server Core install up and running to test right now.

I think I tried all solutions ...

My first try is :

%SystemRoot%\system32\taskschd.msc /computer:ze103

but I tried too :

%SystemRoot%\system32\taskschd.msc /s /computer:ze103

and

Run As Administrator

and

with the FQDN rather than the short name ...

The last server (zc114) was Win2003SRV, but this (ze103) is Win2008

And I would like to create on a Win2008x64 Server.

My UAC is not desactived.

Ludovic.

Hi Ludovic,

Very strange that it isn't working for you.  Could you try deactivating UAC for the testing?
