Anything I find interesting about Microsoft Access that isn't large enough to put on its own page as well as any updates to my website or the Auto FE Updater. Also links to blog postings and articles I feel would be of interest to developers.
If there’s one thing I hate it’s looking at my excellent code written a year or two ago and thinking “Why on earth did I do something so stupid?”
I there's one thing I hate is looking at code developed by someone else and thinking how clever they are.
I'm having a tough time making some changes to a similar system. All kinds of fancy stuff which is hard to work with.
My current peeve is a search form which is reused in a number of different scenarios complete with record source changes and so forth.
I don't even think the client is using the other portions of the system where this form is reused. I'm simply going to make 3 or 4 copies of this form and make all the changes I need to each copy and be done with the fancy cr*p.
(I can say cr*p because it's my blog!)
If there’s one thing *I* hate it’s looking at my code written several years ago and thinking “Why does something I created myself now seem utterly incomprehensible?”. I guess that's what happens when you take a leave of absence from it - you lose it...
I agree completely. I find myself going over my own code from a year ago and I'm like....What the %^#! did I do here to make it work?
